This is a hub to permit us communicate amongst civil societies for the wellbeing of our communities and impact more lives.
A civil society organization (CSO) according to Wikipedia is a group of people which operate in the community, in a way that is distinct. Non-State, not-for-profit, voluntary entities formed by people in the social sphere that are separate from the State and the market. CSOs represent a wide range of interests and ties. They can include community-based organizations as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs). In the context of the UN Guiding Principles Reporting Framework, CSOs do not include business or for-profit associations.
Manda Foundation in partnership with IBA Africa, Happy Mother Happy Child, Green Farmlands, Unique Printers, Brokers & Co, Loyoc On September 1, 2019. Queen Nkweka of Happy Mother Happy Child threw light on how the program was going to be followed. We divided ourselves into 3 groups of 10. Non-governmental organizations another for Businesses and corporate citizens and the last for hybrid organizations. The essence of this exercise was to come up with at least 10 ways in which we could assist one another in our various fields of work. There were games provided and presented by Manda Foundation and little interludes where we could mingle with our guest and make new acquaintances.
During the second half of the program, we were given 5 minutes each to talk about our organizations. Green Farmlands taught us how to start a garden with basic foods around the house in no time. Velveeta Viban of Loyoc talked us through «Communication Vibes». Highlighting the importance of communication especially nonviolent communication. They included;
